Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite has started, so before you jump right in and buy a Classroom of the Elite body pillow, you might need a quick reminder of the previous seasons. Here’s a quick summary of everything that happened in the first two seasons.
Season 1 Summary:
Kiyotaka finds himself placed in Class D at the government-established, Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, aimed at grooming top-tier students for future employment or university admission. The school operates on a point system, granting each student a monthly allotment of 100,000 points. While Kiyotaka begins to explore the system, he encounters two classmates, Kikyo and Suzune.
The next day, Class D recklessly spends their points and displays inappropriate behavior during lessons. To their surprise, they discover they haven’t received their allowance. Professor Sae explains that points are awarded based on overall class performance, and due to their neglect of studies, they have lost all their points. Realizing the consequences, the students intensify their focus on studies, achieving exceptional scores in the intermediate exams.
Later, Class D learns of a delay in point delivery for the first year. Subsequently, three Class C students accuse Sudo of assault, leading to a scheduled hearing. While searching for witnesses, Suzune reveals that Airi witnessed the incident. Despite Airi’s testimony, Sudo isn’t cleared of wrongdoing. A compromise suggested by Class C’s teacher, Sakagami, is rejected by Class D. Realizing one class is lying, Manabu, the student council president concludes the session, promising to make his verdict public the next day.
After the end-of-term exams, the students embark on a special desert island survival exam during summer holidays. Class D emerges victorious with 225 points. In the aftermath, Kiyotaka, despite forming alliances, views everyone as tools for success, willing to use and sacrifice them until achieving “victory”.
Season 2 Summary:
While Akane briefs Manabu on the latest exam results, the students continue their cruise ship journey. The boys then discover another exam, and after four days of efforts, Class C successfully passes it.
The school announces the Sports Festival, where white team (Classes B and C) and red team (Classes A and D) will engage in mandatory and elective competitions, with outcomes determining bonuses and penalties. Kei and Kiyotaka discuss the festival, and Kiyotaka hints at a traitor in Class D before they part ways. Kiyotaka and Suzune later debate the utility of using techniques, leading to class training. Unfortunately, Class D finishes last in the festival.
After the festival, Class D found out that no one was expelled. Professor Sae proposes the Paper Shuffle exam, requiring two students to score at least 60. Students from various classes create questions, and pairs are decided based on a total points threshold. After the exam, Kushida confronts Ryuen, accusing him of betraying her by providing Class D with question copies.
When Class C students provoke Class D the next day, Suzune is suspected of manipulating events. Kiyotaka is summoned by Professor Sae to meet his father after a year and a half. Learning about the butler’s suicide, Kiyotaka faces potential expulsion. However, the intervention of Mr. Sakayanagi prevents his removal, given that the school president recommended Kiyotaka.
Amid Ryuen’s torment of Kei, Kiyotaka agrees to karaoke but is kept in the dark to ensure his safety. Determined to end Ryuen’s abuse, Kiyotaka convinces Professor Sae to intervene. Kiyotaka then confronts Ryuen, admitting to masterminding the situation. A fierce battle ensues, and Kiyotaka triumphs, reassuring Kei that he will always protect her.
